Our Story
Hi, I’m Maestra Liz.
I’m a teacher, and a mom raising a bilingual son. I made these books for families like ours.
You want your child to grow up with both languages. Maybe Spanish is the language of grandma’s kitchen, or English is the one they’ll need at school. Either way, you’ve probably noticed how quickly one language can start to slip away.
I’ve spent six years teaching Pre-K and kindergarten, in Montessori classrooms where children learn by doing. I’ve seen what makes a four-year-old light up: things they can touch, name and point to, one small step at a time.
So every Maestra Liz book starts with the world your child already knows — their home, their toothbrush, their favorite room — and walks through it in Spanish and English. You don’t need to be fluent in either. Just open the book and play together.

For parents and caregivers
You don’t need to speak Spanish to help
Every instruction is printed in Spanish and English, so any parent, grandparent or caregiver can sit down and play along. Read the steps aloud, talk about the pictures, and ask your child to name what they see.
- Instructions in both languages
- Short activities for ages 4–6
- A word review at the end of each chapter
